(Kleine) Kinder und Regeln, das ist ja so eine Sache. Grenzüberschreitungen dienen seit frühester Kindheit und nicht erst in der Pubertät dazu, auszuprobieren, wie weit man gehen kann. Manche Kinder lernen ganz schnell, was sie sich erlauben können, andere brauchen lange und reizen bis weit nach der Pubertät die Grenzen des Machbaren und Erlaubten aus. Und ich finde Regeln doof.
Regeln sind da, um gebrochen zu werden.

Ich könnte jetzt ausschweifend erklären, dass ich Regeln nicht mag, weil sie mich in meiner persönlichen Freiheit beschränken und den Alltag langweilig machen, weil die Befolgung von Regeln zu vorhersehbaren Ergebnissen führt. Ich könnte es aber auch lassen. Und genau um dieses “könnte” geht es mir eigentlich. Regeln reduzieren einen Konjunktiv auf einen Imperativ, sie verhindern ergebnisoffene Spontanaktionen und sie machen einfach nicht so viel Spaß. Und erstaunlicherweise werden die Menschen geradezu dazu getrimmt, sich an Regeln zu halten, weil sie sonst in die Hölle kommen oder von Knecht Ruprecht mit der Rute bestraft werden. Das deutet darauf hin, dass die Menschen wohl eigentlich dazu neigen, Regeln zu brechen oder einfach gar keine zu wollen. Fragt man Frauen, wollen die meisten in der Regel nicht die Regel haben. Fragt man Männer, dann sind sie es leid, die Abseitsregel Frauen in der Regel erklären zu müssen. Und ist nicht ein Regal (ein Kompositum aus “Regel” und “egal”) der Ort, an dem man alles ohne Ordnung verstauen kann und es dann noch als Dekoration gilt?
Ja, ich habe ein Problem mit Regeln, aber auch ich muss zugeben, dass sie in manchen Fällen sinnvoll sind. Zum Beispiel steht auf dem Reibekäse meines Vertrauens “Nach Anbruch der Packung den Käse rasch verbrauchen”. Das ist eine total gute Regel, an die ich mich auch problemlos halten kann. Auch würde es mir im Traum nicht einfallen, gegen §27 Abs. 6 StVO zu verstoßen, denn wer im Gleichschritt über eine Brücke marschiert, kann diese zum Einsturz bringen. Ist mir zwar noch nie passiert, aber ich stelle es mir eher ungesund vor.
Wer sinnlose Gesetze googlet, wird schnell fündig: Die Menschen, die uns behüten und leiten sollen, haben erstaunlich viele Gesetze erlassen, die so sinnlos sind, dass es darüber mehrere Bücher gibt.

Vor diesem Hintergrund wäre es doch sicher interessant, sich eine Welt auszumalen, in der es keine Regeln gibt. Der Wilde Westen 2.0 sozusagen. Ich nehme ganz stark an, dass sich die Menschheit nicht lange in dieser Welt halten könnte. Aber das regelt sich sicher von alleine.
Regeln sind nicht gleich Regeln. Es gibt die mit bindendem, verplfichtendem Charakter (Gesetze) und die inoffiziellen, durch unsere Sozialisation erlernten Regeln (Körperhygiene, weil niemand gern mit einem Stinki spielt), die alle mehr oder weniger komplex sind.
Halten musst du dich an keine, du solltest nur bedenken, dass Regelverstöße immer Konsequenzen haben. Bei Gesetzen werden Strafen nach bestimmten Maßstäben und festgelegten Formen verhängt, Verstöße gegen die Regeln des sozialen Lebens werden im Schlimmstfall mit Ächtung sanktioniert. Ob du dich an Regeln hältst oder nicht, ist also vollkommen dir selbst überlassen.
Interessant ist übrigens, dass es kulturell geprägt zwei Sichtweisen auf Gesetze gibt: in eingen Ländern werden Gesetze primär als Zusicherung von Unversehrtheit gesehen, in anderen als Beschränkung der persönlichen Freiheit.
Ich gehöre definitiv zur ersten Gruppe, muss aber sagen, dass es auch überholte und unnötige Regeln gibt, zum Beispiel Homophobie oder das Festhalten an starren Geschlechterrollen (wenn man den Regelbegriff mal weit auslegt). Aber auch da liegt es einzig und allein an mir, ob ich diese Regeln fortsetze oder nicht. Traditionen und Kulturen kann man ändern, sollte man manchmal vielleicht sogar.
Übrigens: Gibt es dort, wo du herkommst, nicht so viele Brücken? Im Gleichschritt auf einer Brücke zu gehen, ist schon lange vorm Zusammensturz unlustig, weil die Brücke zu schwingen beginnt. Das haben wir auf Wandertagen mit Kindergarten und Schule regelmäßig bemerkt 🙂
